Quicktime 7.0.3 installation problems - error 1606
Well I've just downloaded the latest iTunes with Quicktime 7.0.3 but am having a **** of a time getting the latter installed. iTunes will install, but then gives me a -3 error when trying to install Quicktime. So I tried downloading and installing the standalone Quicktime 7.0.3 program, but am having no more joy with that. If I try that, I get the error message:
Error 1606.Could not access network location QTComponents\
If I click ok then I get:
Error: -1603 Fatal error during installation
I've tried using the Installshield support website to help me, but with absolutely no luck whatsoever ( http://consumer.installshield.com/kb.asp?id=Q110724). If anyone can advise me here it would be greatly appreaciated. Many thanks in advance. I have also tried disabling my Avast antivirus while I install, but to no avail.
