10.6 Clients won't work with Tiger Server

I cannot get Portable Home Directories on a 10.6.x client that is being served by a 10.4.11 Tiger server.

Am I barking up the wrong tree? Is it possible to get Portable Home Directories from a Tiger server on a SL client?

Updated server to Snow Leopard. It appears that Tiger Server is not compatible with Snow Leopard clients.

Odd, works for me. I've got a mixture of clients on Tiger, Leopard and Snow Leopard with a Tiger server (on a G5 PowerMac, so no possibility of Snow Leopard). I haven't done anything special.
