How To - Equalize Volume Level ALL Songs in iTunes Library?

OK, I have over 6700 songs in my *iTunes Library* +(and on my iPod Classic)+.

My problem is when I connect my iPod to my car radio +(via the edge connector)+ I have to frequently adjust my radio's volume for different songs.

The iPod *Sound Check* option is enabled but does not seem to work. At least not via the edge connector.

So, is there a EASY way to equalize sound levels of songs in the iTunes Library? There is a volume adjust in the *Info Dialog* for each song so adjusting volume IS possible. The problem is how to do this for 6700+ songs all at once?

A 3rd-party tool/utility?

By the way, I have asked the Apple people about why iTunes does not have this feature +(like having *Sound Check* feature in iTunes)+ but have never gotten an answer.

All iTunes' Sound Check feature does is equalize the PEAK volume level in all your songs. Newer music has much more gain boost than older stuff, and though the peak volume is the same, it is much more consistently loud. Unfortunately, you will have to use a third-party program to increase the gain on quieter songs.
