Hub USB, card reader and ethernet

I run a hub with my MacBook Air that offers 3 USB ports and an SD card slot. I've successfully charged my iPod, connected via the Ethernet adapter and transferred files off my SD card. I will add, however, that my hub is a powered. The one in this eBay ad is makes no mention of running with A/C power even as an optional power solution.

If you're going to run multiple peripherals, I'd recommend going with a power USB hub vs. an unpowered USB hub.

I'm using a Dynex 3 port hub that I picked up at Best Buy. It's got 3 ports and an SD card slot with the included A/C power adapter. It ran me about $50.

Back to the original poster, there is also the Moshi Cardette. I have it, it works with most things, USB drives, ipod Touch (charges slower), kind of did okay with a usb hard drive (a new Seagate one). As far as memory cards goes it is fine and the Air should recognize everything. I don't know if connecting the USB ethernet through the Cardette will work, that is the one adapter I don't own. It does run warm when in use but so far it has worked every time.
What do you have plugged in? Are you traveling a lot? How long are you staying plugged in?

Im a road warrior and have used a variety of Belkin USB hubs with both my MBA and the Cinema display in the office.

With the exception of the Superdrive, which has to be plugged into either the Cinema display or the MBA USB port directly, my Iphone, USB Ethernet, card readers (Belkin again), keyboard, mouse all work fine with unpowered USB hubs. Iphone and card readers also work fine on the keyboard USB ports as well.
