Enable Appletalk

I have been trying to print and I get the message to enable apple talk. When I got to system preferences and try to enable apple talk on the network settings I get this message "Your network settings have been changed by an other application". When I click OK the message come right back and it doesn't allow me to do anything. The only thing I can do is press return and click on the red button to close the window simultaneously. It all started happening when I downloaded some software to use a phone as a modem using Blue Tooth. Now I have many settings in the network and I think there are some conflicts however I can figure out how to get rid of them. I made a screen grab of my window, any way to post it? Any idea?
Thanks!

To stop the pop-up, Go to System Preferences: Security. Check the box next to "Require password to unlock each secure system preference." Then lock Security.

Try this cure for Security update...

The locations are actually...

/Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/preferences.plist

/Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/com.apple.airport.preferences.plist

/Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/NetworkInterfaces.plist

/Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/com.apple.nat.plist

If you wish to post a pic...

Find a place to host the pic online, then Look at this post telling how to format (including adding graphics) posts for Apple Discussions...

To insert images into your post, use the <img>-tag. Note that the image you want to use in your post needs to be hosted online (e.g. on your .Mac website, etc.); you can not upload images to Apple Discussions.

For example, <img src="http://web.me.com/bartspain/site 2009_apple/screenshots_files/startrec.jpg"> displays the file stored at your specified location.
