airport express buzzing

Just this morning I am getting a strong constant buzzing when I use AE with my itunes. All other inputs (CD, TV audio, etc) to the receiver are without buzz, I've tested the AE cable to the receiver by connecting to my ipod and had no buzz. Nothing in the set up has been altered physically. What am I missing?

Has anyone heard of an AE just physically going bad and buzzing?

Thanks for the suggestion.
I don't know if they are plugged into the same outlet, that's something I will have to dig around to check. Are you saying they should be, or should not be?
One thing I did check was to plug the AE directly into an AC outlet, without using the power cord. That greatly reduced the buzz, but it is still very noticeable.

Also, is this a problem that might occur out of the blue after two-plus years?

Both the airport express and the receiver are plugged into the same outlet, along with a tv, cd player and VCR. A tivo and DVD player also connect to the receiver, but are not plugged into the same outlet. All of this has been set up this way for three years, and I never had any buzzing problem until a few weeks ago. I have unplugged the tivo and the DVD, but the buzz does not go away.

Is this the type of problem that comes out of nowhere after three years?
