Text To Columns

I've read through several previous posts on this topic, but I'm still unable to get this to work. I have a list of names that appear as "Last, First" in one column. In order to be able to perform other functions using these names, I need them to be split into two columns with no comma. In excel, this is easy - there is a text to columns wizard that enables this. I can't find this in Numbers. I converted the column into a .csv file, but when I open the file, no option to separate the text appears.

Thanks in advance!

Why this isn't a built in part of numbers

As I am a end user like you, I don't know the response.

Maybe it's because XL is quite 20 years old while Numbers appeared in summer 2007 😉

_Go to "Provide Numbers Feedback" in the "Numbers" menu_, describe what you wish.
Then, cross your fingers, and wait _at least_ for iWork'10 😉
