Printer Profiles Epson R2400

Question

Printer Profiles Epson R2400

Although a few minor niggles with Snow Leopard, my biggest problem is with my ICC profile for Epson R2400. My colour printing profile is working fine however my B&W profile is rubbish. I have tried to re-profile & even used the generic profile from Permajet.

Has anyone else had a problem & could if continues could I re-install Leopard without losing everything on my disk (Photoshop, lightroom etc)

HI Peter,

If you haven't tried this, reinstall the drivers that came with the Epson printer.

Chec here also. Mac OS X v10.6: Printer and scanner software

I have the same problem Peter. Colours print fine but when I try and print a page in black it comes out in grey. Have deleted the printer and added it again with no luck. Very frustrating.

I have tried deleting the drivers & re-installing drivers from Epson but still have the bluish cast.

Can I re-install Leopard or will I have to re-install all my software.

Finally resolved theissue, deleted printer, then found all drivers & deleted them off the system. Re-installed latest drivers & software from Epson US site not UK. Found better results using the generic ICC profiles from supplier, then printed new profiles pages.

Found running profiler software still gave a small cast but very much improved, re-ran teh proiler on a Windows Machine & copied ICC files back to Mac. Spot on again. Hope this helps other users
