Wrong name during developer program signupp.

I hope this is the correct place to post this, it whas the most fitting place i could find.

My problem is the following.
I recently attempted to sign upp for the iPhone Developer Program, however the name that came upp under personal information is my fathers name not mine. As i turned 18 not to long ago i suspect it comes from my account being connected to his credit card in the iTunes store, or something like that.
The real problem is that i could find no way of changing this name. How do i change this first name to the correct one?

Yep, I agree that his name on the iTunes account is in use during your dev registration attempts. You apparently need to try change the basic iTunes account information, either by getting rid of that one and establishing another one with your name, or by changing the billing information on the account as it exists now.

If you go into the iTunes application and click on the user name, top right and log in, you can see a summary of active account information.

Is the name in use when you try to register as a dev, the same name that is on that account?

Can you update the account with your valid name and c'card info, etc.?

Have to ask if you carefully reviewed the dev signup requirements to confirm you can satisfy them going forward etc.

iTunes customer service is here:
http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/

...perhaps they can help you determine the shortest route, etc.

I get a Access denied error when i try to log inn on the page yoin your link. I suspect this is because i havent signed upp for the feveloper program yet as i didnt want to pay the fee and then find out that i had the wrong name and couldnt change it.

I suspected i needde to contact Apple directly, what way would be the best to contact them for such an issue. Email is preferd.

The registered/authorized account owner will have the access logon/password to the contact pages and Apple may only deal with someone that is authorized on that account.

If you aren't working on your own paid account (or you haven't been added), you may not have any control.

i havent signed upp for the feveloper program yet

Sorry, but I don't understand how you can have an incorrect name on an account if you haven't signed up yet....

ah, wait...I think I understand now, sorry. You may be using a computer where someone else has created an Apple account for iTunes/Forums, etc. (not an existing dev account). This name shows up when you try to sign up as a dev I guess. Right? Any existing developer accounts nearby?

Are you using your own logon on the computer or just sharing his account? Do you have your own existing Apple/iTunes/Store account? If so, use a different browser, say Firefox vs. Safari and/or restart to be sure the other account is logged out.

If this is the case, and there is no pre-existing developer account, you shouldn't need to contact Apple...you just need to convince the form that you are a different/unique user and go from there. The wrong name that is shown perhaps needs to be logged out from iTunes, Safari, etc.

If you expect to share a computer going forward, you may want to go as far as creating your own logon on that computer if you haven't done so already.

No my computer is not shared.
When i click on the enroll now button for the iPhone Developer program it ask me if i wish to use a existing Apple ID acount to enroll with or to create a new one. I chose to use a existing one and i logged in using my apple ID(the same ID that i use to log on to this forum, and the same ID that i use in iTunes)
The next step in the iPhone Developer program registration progress shows me a screen with my basic onformation witch it fetched from my Apple ID witch i used for the iPhone Developer program registration. On this basic information screen i am able to change my adress and phone number but the first and last name is not editable. It is this name witch is wrong, and it is that name im trying to find a way to change.

My iTunes account whas only previusly connected to my fathers credit card, it is now and has for some time been connected to my own credit card. I did open the acount setting in iTunes and everything is et to my name and information, including the billing adress and the credit card.

The iTunes account havent been connected to my fathers iTunes account for years, witch is why i find it so strange that his name should turn upp when i try to apply for the developer program.

I think my problem is a oversigth on apples part and i think i probly wont be able to fix this myself. The problem is that i dont know witch support center i should contact as none of them seem to cover my problem.
