The length of cable attached to the Mighty Mouse looks very short. I'd like to know just how long it is before going ahead and buying one. I don't want the cable fouling up keyboard access and not having enough length to manipulate the mouse freely.
I was planning to plug it into the keyboard, and 18" of cable isn't really long enough to be entirely comfortable. A USB extension would answer - but it shouldn't be necessary. Apple have made a silly mistake here.
I've heard that it's 18". There are quite a few complaints about the short cord on a lot of sites, so you might consider getting a USB extensin cable for it, especially if you don't plan on plugging it into your keyboard.
I would avoid those 2 or 3meter USB Extensions cables. (~6' or 10' respectively) I recommend the 1meter (~3') USB Extension cables, like
this one. Problem is the length as a total can cause the signal to become erratic for a computer buss powered / keyboard / mouse - arrangement.
I also add that hubs and USB retractable cables are not recommended.
