Bookmarks Menu, what is it and what does it look like?

I'm a bit confused about what the difference between bookmarks bar and bookmarks menu is. What exactly? I've been online googling and searching all over but I just can't figure out what the heck it does or what it can do for me. Someone must know.

Bookmarks Menu you'll find in Safaris menu (at the top of your screen)... hence, Bookmarks Menu.

Bookmark Bar is below the URL address window. To activate/show the bookmark bar if not showing --->Safari menu---View---Show Bookmark bar. You place bookmarks here for quick access or sites you visit everyday or all the time.

Bookmarks are saved URL you like to visit from time to time without having to remember the URL or Googling.

In the Safari menu you will see HELP in the menu...Click on that then click on Safari help. Then type in Bookmarks to learn more about Bookmarks and how make them.

I understand how the bookmarks and the bookmarks bar works. I think I may understand except for one thing. Maybe what I was confused about was actually when you click on the open book icon in the far left corner of the bookmarks bar, then you see the bookmarks menu under the Collections Heading. What am I supposed to find there? I just don't get it.

I consider the "bookmarks menu" the default storage place for bookmarks. When you get really organized you learn to create folders within that menu and yoo see thoes listed down the left side when you clik on the "book" icon. The "bookmarks bar" is handy becasue it is "one click" instead of clicking on the menu and scrolling etc. Except for me who has 30 items in my bar so I have to click on the little arrows at the end;-) What is nice about clicking the "book" icon and viewing your bookmarks this way is that you can really edit and organize by dragging and deleting etc.
