What model G3 (iBook G3) & how much RAM currently? Maxing out the RAM usually will make it faster.

The Max RAM on the Beige g3's (all models) -- despite ambiguous Apple documents -- is 3*256 MB DIMMs, but they must be just the right DIMMs. If you have to buy more, get RAM for The Blue & White G3, as it is rated slightly faster, but is identical in every other parameter. The module height on the MiniTower should be no problem -- the desktop model has a height limit.

You have 128MB RAM on the logic board & only 1 RAM slot that can acomodate up to a 512MB RAM module. How much RAM do you have now?
