Create a video like apple commercials (white background)

Hello All,

I would like to create a video of myself speaking for 10 minutes.

All i want is to look like apple commercials on TV, where the background is all white and there is a small dark shade.

Anyone can explain me how to do this, what program could I use, and what are the steps (if not so hard)...

no program ..
a studio, a white cove, 'some' light and a Director of Photography.. 😉

seriously: these recordings are done by highly experienced pros .. for sure, you can build a white cove in your apartment, use indirect ( ! ) build-lights, set the exposure manually on your camcorder.. but if that poor-man's-solution has the same quality as Apple's $$$.$$$ ads.. ? 😀

Another way is to get yourself a small green screen (like a Botero green screen from B&H) and film yourself against the green screen.

In FCE, create a white slug clip and put it on v1. Make it the whole length of your 10-min video.

Import your clip into FCE, put it on V2, apply either the green screen or chroma key filter. You may have to fiddle with the settings, but this should give you yourself against a white background.

Thank you very much for the fast response.

I imagined that it would not be an easy move.

I am trying to set up a blog site, and wanted my videos to look with a white background like the apple commercials, but i guess i will have to think another option. Also, the commercial from the new google phone also features that type of background that i loved it....

This is NOT rocket science. All you need is a white background and proper lighting. Turn the zebras on in your camera and expose so that the bg is clipped, but the subject is good.
