Logic 8 vs 9- Different Jam Packs?

Jam Packs have always confused me. How many are there? On the Apple Site it says says all six are included in 9 but it only shows 5 boxes at the bottom of this page:

http://www.apple.com/logicstudio/plug-ins/

On the Wiki page about Jam Packs it says:

All current Jam Packs to date are:

GarageBand Jam Pack: Remix Tools
GarageBand Jam Pack: Rhythm Section
GarageBand Jam Pack: Symphony Orchestra
GarageBand Jam Pack: World Music
GarageBand Jam Pack: Voices

There was also another GarageBand Jam Pack, initially known just as "Garage Band Jam Pack," later "Garage Band Jam Pack 1" that was discontinued in January of 2006.

Is that the "sixth" Jam Pack? Is there a difference in regards to Jam Packs in Logic 8 and 9?

Thanks!

I didn't have any Jam Packs included with GarageBand when I bought it, but they may have started including one recently with iLife 09 I guess. In any case, here are the six Jam Packs to date:

GarageBand Jam Pack
GarageBand Jam Pack: Remix Tools
GarageBand Jam Pack: Rhythm Section
GarageBand Jam Pack: Symphony Orchestra
GarageBand Jam Pack: World Music
GarageBand Jam Pack: Voices

The first one is simply called Jam Pack I believe -- it was the original Jam Pack and did not have a particular name associated with it like the other five (people often refer to it as Jam Pack No. 1 I think). Logic Studio (the last version with Logic Pro 8) came with the first five Jam Packs (everything except for Voices). I'm not sure about the newest version of Logic Studio, but if it says it comes with all six, then it's talking about the six listed above.

Hope that helps a little.

I can't tell you how big each one is, but if you just want to make sure you have the content, then click [here|http://www.macjams.com/article.php?story=20040201110835519] -- it will take you to a site that lists all the loops and instruments that come with the original jam pack (Jam Pack 1). It doesn't list the loops/instruments for the other five jam packs, but if you bought Logic 9 then you definitely have the other five (if you have Logic 8 then you have 4 of the other 5, excluding the Voices Jam Pack). I'm also pretty positive that both versions of Logic come with the original jam pack, but you can check the link above if you want to be sure.

I wanted to add to my above post -- it is possible that even the newer version of Logic (Logic 9) does not have Voices. Like I said, I'm pretty positive it has all 6, but Voices and the original Jam Pack 1 are the only two that would be worth checking on in my opinion. The other four are definitely included. For the first Jam Pack, click on the link in the post above to check your loops/instruments to see if it's installed. For Voices, simply look at your instruments and see if you have the vocal ones installed somewhere. Hope that helps.
