Ibook G4 1.33 Airport not found

I am trying to make an old Ibook work for my daughter. The computer sees the Bluetooth just fine but does not see the airport card at all (bluetooth/airport on same card). So I ordered an ebay replacement and installed it last night. While I was in the machine I installed a new hard drive. Upon a clean install the same thing happened. Bluetooth happy and no airport card found. I did the old command option+PR per some discussions I read but that did not help either. I am wondering if you all have any ideas or is the logic board screwed up?

Thanks
Thom

The airport module is delicate, and does have special handling instructions for both the module and the cables. Also, the replacement from EBay may be suspect. Powerbook Medic carries the module, but they are currently out of stock.

You might carefully check to see that the card and cables are well seated and that the cables are not damaged. Check the logic board socket for possible damage.

At this point, you have 2 airport modules that are not recognized. The problem could be with the logic board, but it could also be with the modules and/or their connections. I would look over the connections and cables first, and also see if the EBay seller can verify in some way that the airport module that you bought is functional.

Good luck!
