Function refere collumn of another table, loses function in cell after save

*how to reproduce:*
create two tables, name the rows in table 1.
insert a function, e.g. sum(), into a cell of table 2 and type as reference for the sum() function the
name of a row of table 1. Function sums correctly the values of collumn.
Save the document, reopen it. The sum formula is gone and nothing gets calculated.

workaround:
none, I did not find out why. I suggest it is a bug.

I would be glad to know what is your formula resembling to.

When I have two tables and a column named "numbers" in the second one, I may use
=SUM("numbers")
in this second table

but if I enter this formula in the first table I get a red triangle.

It seems to be normal as the iWork Formulas and Functions User Guide states (page #25 in the English version):
