MSN problem

I ditched MSN messenger for Adium. It has a nice feature to access other chat areas like MSN, iChat and so on, all at the same time. I can yack at my sister that uses MSN and my other sister using AOL. This allows me pass along "live" messages saving money from expensive conference calls.

BTW... MSN disconnects are a royal pain in the neck. My sister has to restart her Windows-PC about every 15 minutes. So far, I have not recieved a disconnect using Adium.

Ron,
I took a look at Adium and linked to Yahoo Messenger only to find that it's the same version as offered by Yahoo itself. This version (latest for Mac) allows me to IM but cannot use the Apple iChat. In other words, no cam to cam. Do you know if this is normal or any way around this?

I have no clue when it comes to video conferencing and iChat. I do not have iSight. (or a compatible web-cam, 3rd party software, or even if there is such a beast that exists)

Audio is hairy enough for my limited Mac friends and have a backup for audio chat called Skype for the cross platform experience.

Maybe the iChat forum would be of some help. ...Ron
