How do you access files from different accounts on same mac

My wife and I have different login accounts on the same mac, both are set has Admin with full access but here is the problem, if I create a new document from my account and save it on the drive (any folder or a new folder I create) when she logs into her account and tries to open this document to work on it says.

+The operation could not be completed because you do not have enough access privileges.+

This happens in both directions, how can I fix that without having to change the access to all documents

iMac G5, Mac OS X (10.5.8)

That article is for file sharing with another computer, we both use the same computer but have different accounts and both accounts are admin, my file sharing is on. I can understand that if the files were in the user folder that I couldn't access them but they are on the drive outside of the user folder. I've changed the sharing/permission of the Macintosh HD (Get Info) so that everyone and both users have read & write yet still no access to files create by the other user.

Open the Disk Utility in the /Applications/Utilities/ folder, create a disk image, double-click it in the Finder. select it on the desktop, choose Get Info from the File menu, and check the box to ignore ownership on this volume, unlocking the padlock if needed. Use the image to store the documents.
