KVM for windows/mac that works...recomendations?

I am sure this is not officially supported, but I need a solution...

I have a KVM with USB switch that has that has multiple windows computers on it (VGA and USB for keyboard, mouse, etc). Since I have switched my personal laptop from windows to mac, I need to add the MBP to the switch.

It simply does not work dependably for VGA (to mini on mac) and USB mouse. Sometimes when you switch over to mac everything works fine, sometimes the screen is blank and/or the mouse is dead.

Everything else works ok (all USB things, such as external web cam, keyboard etc). It all works fine with windows.

THe KVM is iomega, mouse logitech, external monitor is LG W2361V. I am a sophisticated KVM user, so I know to configure the mouse directly connected to computer (so it is recognized) before connecting to KVM.

Question 1) any ideas to get my current products to work?
Question 2) any recommendations on buying a KVM/USB switch that works with mac and windows with no hassle?
