how can i lock app icons so kids can't delete!!

Jim, you must not have children.......a few minutes on "peekaboo barn" has saved my sanity more than once. Original poster, if you find a solution to this please post. I have this happen frequently also, this morning my facebook app was missing - that's where I draw the line. 😉

Have you looked at Settings>General>Restrictions? They are more aimed at teenagers' internet use and spending, but may be useful. There is an option to prohibit installing apps, not sure if turning it on will also prohibit deleting apps.

No, there isn't. Sorry about the ADHD. Maybe these aren't suitable toys for your children because you can't prevent changing apps or moving/deleting them by accident.

Amy, you really can't "childproof" the iPhone.

So whats wrong with keeping the phone away from the kids ?

Get them their own phone; as if kids actually need them.
