What is "Internal Muxer Error" - How to fix it???

I'm trying to burn a simple/basic project: 5 short films (one 15min, the others under 4min) that I put into a template - and I have no additional menus save the first. I have no transistions or anything else complicated. Just the menu and the movies.

Here's the backstory: I had built this same project before, successfully burned at least 10 DVD's of it, and then moved it from my hard drive to my external hard drive. When I went back later to burn some more, I re-connected the assets with the project and tried to burn again - only to get this "Internal Muxer Error" that stops the building/formatting. I went through all the preferences and all other options - I retraced my steps as best I could, to no avail. So I resorted to moving my assets back onto my hard drive and I re-created my project from scratch.

And I'm still getting this "Internal Muxer Error" in the "build" stage of the burn process - even though I did the same things to this new project that I had done when I first started.

What is this error and how can it be fixed? I noticed a thread about the error below, but I didn't understand a thing in that discussion. And my project is different from that one because I am not using multiple angles or anything spiffy. I think I'm making about the most basic project you can come up with.

Any help/suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thank you so much in advance.

Hi Daniel.
Welcome to the forum.
An 'Internal Muxer Error' is a pretty general error messsage that could mean all sorts of things. Muxing is short for multiplexing which is the process of converting your separate .m2v and .ac3 (or .aiff) files into a combined .vob file for a DVD player to read.
Do you have any chapter markers in your timeline other than the first one which DVDSP automatically creates. I have had corrupted markers give me this error before. Can you play the mpeg in Quicktime?
Cheers

I've resolved this problem before by locating a loop end setting on a motion menu that exceeded the length of the menu's background motion asset. This can come about a number of ways, but when it happens, it yields this error.

Confirm that all your 'End' settings on your motion menus are earlier than the actual end of your background assets.

hope that helps.

I have been experiencing this problem trying to do a play all. I have 26 clips all together in 3 categories. So on my main menu I have 3 buttons and when you click on a button it takes you to a submenu, each with 8 of 9 individual clips and then I have a play all button within each of those. I have a separate track for every button, 29 all together. There is one that will not work. So I know the problem is not the individual clips in a track because 2 of them work and I am able to burn. As far as the problem one I have reconverted the files, taken out files individually to see if it is that, and I have done all of the preference and cache deleting talked about on this forum. Perhaps the most perplexing thing is that all of these clips mux just fine on their individual track. So I am basically out of ideas. Please help.
