HP LaserJet P1505

So, according to the drivers page, support for this printer was supposed to be restored in 2.2.

However, my computer is still not recognizing the printer (USB) after updating the drivers. It is simply not listed under the printer menu, even after pressing the + sign.

Macbook Pro, Mac OS X (10.6.1)

Hi, try the Drivers for HP Laserjet 1025 (Cups + Gutenprint v5.2.4).
You can download the most current version of gutenprint here:
http://gimp-print.sourceforge.net/MacOSX.php

I'm using them for my P1505n and they work fine.

I will try those asap, but I would still prefer that the native drivers work. Is there any known issue here?

Try to unplug the printer and then plug it back in (making sure the printer is on and has power). If you don't have the drivers on your system, you should be prompted to download them.

Just installed the new drivers. I can now print directly via USB but when I try to print via my Airport Express I cannot print. Any ideas anybody?

I am having the same problem. I talked with both HP and Apple. HP says it is a security setting issue on wireless. Snow leopard is using WPA2 and HP says to go back to WEP. I tried this and it will still not print wirelessly. Apple tech and I agree that there is still a drive issue. I anyone has a work around for this please let me know. I would hate to have to buy a new printer as this one is only 1 yr. old.

Link1 (and the rest),

I would never suggest going back to WEP from WPA2. I do however have a work around to get the P1505 working with an Airport Express base station. See [this|http://discussions.apple.com/message.jspa?messageID=10295130#10295130] post in my FAQ thread for complete details.
