Sleep timeout - NOT caused by Google Talk; I think caused by CUPS
When I first installed Snow Leopard, I noticed that putting the computer to sleep took too long. It turned out that the Google Talk plugin for Firefox was causing Sleep to timeout, delaying the process by 30 seconds. When I disabled it, problem gone.
Now it's happening again. In Terminal, I get the following message each time after putting the computer to sleep:
* Domain: applicationresponse.timedout
- Message: Kernel cupsd com.apple.powermanagement.applicationresponse.timedout 30000 ms
- Time: 9/24/09 12:00:36 PM EDT
- Signature: cupsd
- UUID: CC3E5C3D-77AE-4EDD-BE5C-CE61D719F87B
- Result: Noop
- Response time (ms): 30000
It looks like CUPS is causing the problem. Is this something that can be disabled, or is it necessary to print from applications in Snow Leopard? Is there any other solution? Has anyone else had this problem??
Thanks very much!
Anthony
