3G MMS update

So what if anything do we have to do to get MMS going today on our phones? I am hearing iTunes so does that mean we have to sync up with our pc or can we do it via itunes on the phone? That would not be cool since it's on my home laptop and I am at work and I have to wait all day! lol..

It is a carrier file update to be done through iTunes. Just chill and take care of it when you get home.

I was joking about the waiting..I just got my iPhone at the end of July..Not that a big of a deal for me. I was just wondering how we get the update.

Hello,
I am new to this iphone thing. What will the steps be to getting the service carrier update? I completed a sync this morning at 8am and so far no MMS.

It would likely be n update via itunes.

Relax. There is no hurry.

Sometime later today or tomorrow connect your iphone to itunes and click check for updates.

You will have to wait for AT&T to release the carrier file update and iTunes to get it. Then you will update the carrier file on your phone with a sync through iTunes. It is scheduled to begin release at 10:00 am Pacific time and then rollout continuing through the day, so figure times out from there. The AT&T blog says updates every hour.

Does anybody know what happens to MMS messages that were sent to us while the previous option was down? Will they be sent to us once the update is done?

Why would they? Now if the sender resends them, that's a different story.

One of the lucky ones here to have MMS early. My question for anyone that has or will soon. When sending a text to multiple contacts prior to MMS, I could send unlimited. Now if I send to 10 or more (even without a picture) the message fails. Curious if anyone has seen this that has MMS or when it rolls out today if this occurs for others.
