logitech trackman marble usb mouse not hot swappable?

Hot swaping works fine with other mice (Kensignton expert mouse trackball, etc).

With Logitech trackman marble t-BC21, when you unplug in and plug it back in, 90% of the time it locks the Mac, needing to reboot by holding down the on/off button.

Any ideas? I need it to be hot swappable to work with a KVMP switch.

Thanks

Yes, of course. They said you had to uninstall all other mice, pen tablets, etc. I thought that was absurd, since I assumed that mac was designed better than that. However, they were correct. Multiple mouse drivers (even it you only use one mouse at a time) step on each other. I removed others, it works fine now. Sounds a lot like windows to me.

Thanks for your help.

Are you using a driver from Logitech? I have the same Marble Mouse, but used with 'USB Overdrive'; also a Microsoft Mouse with the MS driver, and a Wacom tablet; all co-exist happily and can be hotplugged. The MS driver only affects the mouse, over-riding USB Overdrive (which is set up lef-handed while the mouse is right-handed). Possibly it's the Logitech driver which is acting up?
