what does the half circle mean?

since upgrading to itunes 9 i have noticed something new in the movies category in list view. in the first column of itunes with the right pointing arrow at the top where the blue circle would mean hadnt been seen before there is now a half blue half half white cirlce and i have no idea what it means.
