Not able to edit event names in iCal

Not able to edit event names in iCal

Since upgrading to Snow Leopard, I am not able to edit event names in iCal once they are created. I am able to edit all other items in the event, but not name. I have tried double clicking, using the inspector, etc. to no avail. Any ideas?

24-inch iMac (August 2009), Mac OS X (10.6.1), iPhone 3G 16 GB; iPhone OS 3.1

This did not help everything for me. I can now drag events to a new time or date but I can not open them to edit them. Any more suggestions?

I tried getting rid of duplicates in FontBook. I tried deleteing the iCal.plist file and restarting my mac. Nothing works. I can not edit any entry in any way except to drag it to a new place. I also can't open iCal Preferences. I have iCal 4.0.1 - is that the current version?

I got it to work tonight. I ended up trashing the iCal application from my applications folder and reinstalling from my Snow Leopard disc. (Installed just iCal)

I tried all of the above suggestions (trashing ical.plist, trashing duplicate fonts) and am happy to report it finally worked ... I can now edit event names in iCal. Thanks for all of your ideas!
