"MMS Message send failure"

Same problem here but neither the text or the photo are sent. Thinking the network is bogged down, I've been trying on and off for hours. No luck. I'm running a 3G with OS 3.1. Anyone find a solution? seems like a common problem.

I called 611 from my phone and talked to AT&T. The lady was helpful and tried 2 things, which the latter of the 2 I believe is what worked.

1. She re-authorized my iphone
2. she took my family texting plan off and waited a minute and put it back on.

After number 2 I was able to send and receive. Try calling them and tell them to do this.

Try tomorrow.

they are not closed. talking to a rep at at&t right now. im having the same problem.

i just tried the re-authorization of the iphone and removed mms with the at&t rep. i rebooted phone and still MMS Message Failure

Same thing here. Status bar gets 90% done and get a red exclamation "!" symbol (failure). So I deleted the messages I tried to send (3 of them). About 5 minutes later 2 of the messages were received on my wife's phone (including the image). So either something is wrong or the service is very slow.

i powercycled phone; removed sim card; placed sim card back into phone and still nothing (an at&t rep told me to do this); the reps keep suggesting i call apple. but i don't think apple would handle this since this is an at&t update, right?
i tried re-authorizing phone and removing messaging and then placing messaging back via the at&t rep. that also didn't work. i think it just may be a problem with the network at this point. maybe it is just an overload. apparently, (according to rep) at&t have been getting slaughtered with calls today re: MMS failure messages. will try tomorrow and keep my fingers crossed...

Try taking a screen capture of the image (smaller file size) by holding the home button and pressing the power button, and try sending using that image.

Same problem here, try to send, status bar runs fast to 90 or 95% then stops. I get the exclamation mark saying it did not send. I can recieve the photos from other phones. Cannot send.

Over the past six months have formed a love, hate relationship with this phone!

After resetting the acctg, reloaded software, resetting the phone, swapping phones...end up replacing a new SIM card at att store, fixed...

Try new SIM card, I did all sw upgrade, reset phone, swapping phones, reset acct etc...works after installed a new SIM card at ATT store.

Inside scoop guys. Easy fix from what I've seen. Make sure you have the _iphone_ texting plan on your account. They have separate codes for iphone and regular texting plans, unless you are on a family texting plan- which if you're still having problems on a family text plan I have no idea what to do...yet.

anyways have them put the appropriate plan and then restart your device. Already know this worked, did not have to make any other changes to phone or account. Hope this works for you guys.

Mine is finally fixed after four techs worth of support.

It was due to there still being a block on my line due to having gone from a 2G to 3G phone but the system still had me as a 2G someplace in their system.
