Recently the on/off button on the top of my ipod touch has become stuck, not allowing me to lock or turn off my ipod. I am having to try and push the button up everytime i need to lock it, sometimes it works and other times it won't "unstick". My ipod is still under the 1 years guarantee, would it be worth sending it back to get it either fixed or replaced.

Please help

Mine is a couple of years old and showing some of the same symptoms. I'm wondering if this is a sign of future failure of the on/off mechanism which eventually may mean I can't switch it off!

Has crossed my mind if electrical contact cleaner/lubricant might help, but I'm a bit nervous of trying it. Would anyone like to try it please and let me know how it goes?
