ON/OFF button is stuck

Recently the on/off button on the top of my ipod touch has become stuck, not allowing me to lock or turn off my ipod. I am having to try and push the button up everytime i need to lock it, sometimes it works and other times it won't "unstick". My ipod is still under the 1 years guarantee, would it be worth sending it back to get it either fixed or replaced.

Please help 😟
