iPhone 3GS Bluetooth pairing with Clarion cx609

Not sure if it is me or the devices, but any idea on how I can skip having to pair my iPhone and the bluetooth every time I get in the car. I always have to go through the steps to pair the devices, there has to be an easier way! Help!

I finally solved my problem by resetting the CX609 (reset button is described in the user manual) and then going through the pairing process again. I used the WAIT mode pairing process this time around. The CX609 user manual is pretty lame in describing how to pair a BT device, but there's a product bulletin about it available on the Clarion web site that's much better. Everything is working fine now.

Have you tried the USB charging / playback with the 3GS? Crutchfield says its not supported at all for the 3GS but I wanted to check with someone that owned one.
