Cutting black screen at the end of videos

Hi,

I am new to iMovie, and looked around on Support and a book from the library, but I can't easily remove the excess time in my iMovie. I created a movie w/ clips and audio that runs to about the 2:53.13 mark in my timeline viewer. However, the movie continues w/ no content (no audio, no clips, just black screen) for another 30 seconds.

How can I remove this blank screen and just end the movie after my content runs (at app. 2:54)?

Thanks for any help you can provide. JC

To add to Klaus 1's note, expand your time line to maximum and remove any bits of audio or video that might have accidentally gotten left over from editing. Also, control-click on the space following the end of your movie, and in the resulting drop down menu click on Convert Empty Space to Clip. Then delete the clip. Finally, I have found that a restart sometimes cures this problem.
