Voice Memos

So I bought a new iPod Touch 8gb that I thought was a 3gen last night at Wal-Mart. I try using the voice memos and it says it needs a mic. I thought they were built in into the new version. How do I get a mic for it? Was the one I bought not the newest version? Someone please help... Thanks.

The 3g is microphone enabled, but doesn't come with a microphone.

You can get a button mike on eBay for under $5.00.

the headphones that come with the 3 Gens have a mic (and remote control) but if like me you find them extremely uncomfortable you may have to look at a different pair of headphones/mic option to use voice memos.

Hi: Unfortunately, the 8gB version of the iPod Touch doesn't come with the earphones with the mic. Only the 32 and 64gB versions include the mic style ear buds.
