Can't read text in iTunes store since downloading latest version

Since I downloaded the latest version of iTunes, I now have a black background in the iTunes Store window and can't see any of the text - names of albums/tracks etc. The album artwork is fine, but the text is either completely invisible or vaguely appears in a very small, faint, white font when I move the mouse pointer over it. This is only on my ancient PC (XP); my new laptop (with Vista) has no problems with it at all.
Any suggestions gratefully received!

This worked for me:

OK found the issue solution which worked for me. Thanks to Micky on another forum.
"I checked my graphic settings and found that my system use colour profile provided by monitor's manufacturer. Then I added sRGB profile and set it as default and after that iTunes background in iTunes store was white as it should and all options and text are visible now.

For Windows: exact procedure may be different on various OS and monitors, but the steps will be similar. Open - My Computer > control panel > display > settings > advanced > color management. Click Add > select sRGB Color Space Profile.icm > Add Select sRGB Color Space Profile > Set as Default Click Apply > OK > OK Your monitor should now display the sRGB color space.

Had to restart and for good measure I physically turned off the monitor (which I probably haven't done in who knows how long)counted to ten and then turned it back on."
