"Community Toolbar"

Hello,
I download "Jabref" from Internet (a software to organize bibliographic references) and I can't opend it. The message is "We're sorry, but the Safari browser version you are currently using does not support the community toolbar".
What does that means?
I have the impression that MacBook Pro is less compatible with Internet download that MacBook, because since I bought it I have had many problems...??
Thanks!
Consuelo.

I am having the same problem as everyone else. I guess its not a toolbar problem because when "Steam" (Computer Gaming Application) came out for Mac I downloaded it. I never had any problem with this until that day. I removed Steam and all of its content.. Well I hope I did and it still comes up every time I try and open safari from when it is close.

If safari is running in the background the message does not appear. Once I close Safari and decide to open it. This same message pops up...

"We're sorry, but the Safari browser version you are currently using does not support the community toolbar."

I also get the same exact message 2 times when I open up Steam "I re-downloaded Steam hoping it would solve this problem. But only made it worse" If you could tell me the location(s) Steam saves its files and such that would be great.

Thanks in advance Garrett.

Don't know if this will help anyone. I to kept getting a message saying sorry, your version of Safari does not support the community toolbar. I went into my applications and opened the toolbars folders. I had installed Frostwire a week or two ago, but I had uninstalled it. There was still a file in the toolbars folder that said Frostwire Toolbar. I uninstalled it. Since then I have not gotten that Community Toolbar window when I open Safari.

Bee, I don't have or use Facebook but I also getting the same message on start up. I have only just got my MacBook and this message started 24 hours a go and I have no idea why - or indeed how to get rid of it. I looked in Apps/Toolbars and it is empty. I reset Safari and that achieved nothing.

Very irritating and would like to know how to get rid of it / stop this message from appearing
