Samsung ML-3051ND not working properly

Hi there,

I've downloaded the latest driver for the Samsung ML-3051ND from the samsung support website. I have been able to get the printer to work, but not duplex print like it should (it works on my windows pc).

Does anyone have any suggestions, or perhaps dealt with this problem as well?

This is my first time with a mac...

What problem are you having with duplex? How is it not working?

The printer will print one sided, but not both sided like it should when I enable the duplex function.

Are you familiar with this printer?

I don't have the printer, but I installed the software and was able to see a difference in the files in the proxy when using duplex and not using duplex. If you pause the printer, print a job with duplex on, then highlight the job and press the space bar, do you see the job is two sided when going through the pages?

Also, have you contacted Samsung to see if this is a known issue?

When I press the space bar, it shows the printed page turning over to a whole new page, so I'm assuming it is still single sided printing.

I contacted Samsung, and now I'm waiting on them to get back to me with a response to whether or not it is a known issue (they had to forward the case to another department).

Thanks for your help so far; do you have any other suggestions?

When I use the space bar, I see two pages in the window. I am not sure why we are seeing different results.

I don't have much to suggest, but have you gone to the Layout panel and tried switching the setting of the Two-Sided menu?
