changing angle of image on microsoft word

i want to be able change the angles of images. it's pretty time consuming to put it into iphoto gallery, change it, save it, and import to the document. i know in the document theres usually a GREEN BALL that at the top center when an image is selected but it does not always appear. (usually the blue balls on the corners to alter size) and usually appears when i copy an image from the internet. is there a specific extension for the image to have this option? id really appreciate your feedback!!

Not sure if you have tried this but here we go...

1. Place image or picture into word.

2. Select the picture and notice the black border boxes on the inside of image, just notice the border at this time.

3. Alt(right)click the picture the select Format Picture, select the layout tab, then under "Wrapping Style" select or highlight "In Front Of Text". Press OK.

4. You should now notice the border boxes went from black boxes inside the image to white boxes outside the image.

5. Alt click image again and select "Show Picture Toolbar".

6. In the picture tool bar you'll see a blue arrow that wraps up counterclockwise over itself, select it. Move your mouse to the outside of image and you'll notice that your mouse cursor is now a small circle and the border boxes are now the green balls you described. Place the round mouse cursor over or around one of the green border balls click and move the mouse, voila it should now rotate.
