Help! I am having trouble with my macbook air. Every time I turn it on it shows a white screen with a flashing folder with a question mark on it. I've restarted it hold D, C, and shiftcontroloption. and none of these things has helped. Any suggestions?!

Macbook Air, Mac OS X (10.6.1)

The flashing folder indicates the computer can't find a valid system boot disk. Your hd may have gotten corrupted. If you have an external usb drive with a valid system on it, try booting from that. You might then be able to repair your internal drive with Disk Utility or some other 3rd party disk utility.

I have a macbook aluminium late 2008 and suddenly one fine morning i got question mark error on startup. I tried to do disk repair with the installation CD but my internal HDD is not recognized. Is there any other way to repair it ?
