Hello Gianna,

Canon has released a v3.00 of the CAPT driver for OS X. Some users have reported that this driver did install and work for them on 10.6. I don't have any of the models this driver supports so I cannot confirm this, but if you want to download and try it you can get it via this link...

According to the readme for the v3.00 CAPT driver, the following printers are supported...

Printer:
LBP9100Cdn/LBP7200C series/LBP5300/LBP5100/LBP5050 series /LBP3500/LBP3310/LBP3300/LBP3250/LBP3150/LBP3108/LBP3050/LBP3018/LBP3010/LBP300 0

How is the printer connected to your Mac; USB or networked?

Hi everyone!

I'm sure this discussion will be continued.
To Vignus DO NOT waste your money, new LBP3010 printer just for Mac will not help.

I have the same printer and ... the same problem! Even direct USB connection to your Mac doesn't help. I have OS X 10.5.8 but the problem is exactly the same.
LBP3010 will not appear in the list.
A few days ago, I've tried to install drivers for my HP PSC 2410 ... NO result.

I've installed all of Canon and HP printer drivers from "Mac OS X Install DVD" and from downloaded .dmg that tech support gave me.
No new drivers in the printer list. I would say no new drivers at all !!!
Right repair from Disk Utility doesn't help.

This is some Mac OS X problem, not distribution .dmg file.
I cannot figure out what going on.
It seems that simply impossible to install any printer driver.

Please, somebody try to contact to Canon tech support.

I try to contact them via

https://www.canon-europe.com/Support/ConsumerProducts/contactsupport/Index.aspx

but their e-mail servise doesn't work it always says me: "An Error Occured while processing."
In USA or some Europe country you can even give them a call for free or try to contact them via e-mail.
Put them a link of this discussion.

We have to do something.

We are looking for printer in wrong place!

Try the following (for direct USB conection and drivers v3.0 installed):
System Preferences -> Print & Fax -> Click [+] -> More Printers ->Canon USB (CUPS CAPT) ->... do you see it ? ...select printer from the list (it should be there)

We have to look our printer under "More Printers" tab (not "Default" nor "Windows" tab) and there select "Canon USB (CUPS CAPT)" when printer connected via USB it appears in the list.

Oh GOD I've done it.
