How to set up Touch to use Skype for phone calls?

I use Skype with my iMac for making phone calls and would like to do the same with my new iPod Touch. I've looked in the Touch User's Guide but have not been able to find a procedure for setting up the Touch to accomplish this. I would appreciate feedback on how to do this from those who are successfully using Skype with their Touch units. One thing I am curious about is whether I can sync my Touch with the Skype program--including phone numbers-- already present on my iMac.

Yes and no... you will have two versions of Skype on your computer, but one will only be appearing in iTunes and your iPod since they are two different app.

You can still have both Skype application open and loged into your account at the same with no problem. There is no special setup to do on your iPod more than login into your account and having credits into your account, exactly as you probably done with Skype on your computer.

stedman and SeaBeast,

Thanks for your helpful feedback. The picture is now looking much more clear!

I note that you are both from Canada. I am leaving tomorrow for a vacation in Nova Scotia and want to be able to use the new Touch while there. Too bad I didn't buy it sooner so that I had it set up and was more familiar with its operations before I hit the road!
