BLACKBERRY TO IPHONE PING

IS THERE A WAY I CAN PING FROM BLACKBERRY TO IPHONE.

All of my friends are using blackberry, I need a way to communicate with them that's not going to be costly.

Ping says it's iPhone only. Use another instant messenger like AIM or one of the others in the App Store.

Costly is not much of a measure.....

Do you have an unlimited data plan?
Do you have a text plan?

Email and IM are free if you have unlimited data. Blackberry seems to do Email.
Text message plans are fairly cheap too.

More info would helpful.
