How do I forward an AMR file from MMS?

A friend sent me an AMR audio file, plays perfect. I want to forward the file to friends.

I've tried holding my finger down on the bubble for it, I copy it and paste it, it pastes the files name only, so that fails. I click on the blue arrow to get options, but that just goes to the player and lets me play/pause it.

Does ATT and iPhone not support sending AMR files? I've heard the voice notes are saved as AMR, so sounds contradicting.

I just called ATT.

They do support sending audio files. They support: Text, Image, Audio, Video.

They said:
-Non-3GS does Text, Image and Audio(via voice notes only)
-3GS does Test, Image, Audio(via voice notes only), Video
-Non-iPhones can do everything.
-They weren't sure if the 3GS does Audio outside of voice notes, does anybody have a 3GS that can try texting AMR files?

I think Apple Support and ATT need to brush up on their support skills.

I went into an Apple Store and they showed me how to forward the AMR file, which is completely supported with a non-3GS on ATTs network. You have to click the "Edit" button in the text conversation, select the circle next to the AMR message, then click the "Forward" button. The AMR is inserted as an object and you can forward it to a phone number of email address. Done and done.

Why you can't just hold and copy, or click the blue arrow and get a menu to do this is beyond me, especially when you can do this with pictures.
