Finder not working well with Samba servers
Hi to all, having some strange things after upgrading to 10.6.1 two weeks ago, I read several posts stating almost the same but no solution.
My Mac cannot copy files to a samba server anymore, finder hanging up accept under following circumstances:
a) Writing all in an image (.dmg) file and then copy - works fine
b) Option save as in all programs works also fine
If I open the Samba Server drive in a "OPEN in FINDER" it hangs up. I tried to wait for almost 10 minutes but no result. Browsing files directly from Dock (without using "OPEN with FINDER") shows no problems.
Any solutions for this - of course I can work around but it is a shame not being able to use finder to open a folder on a samba server anymore and not being able to copy just one folder to the server or back without writing an image file before.
