How do I get scientific male and female symbols in Keynote

I need the male (circle with arrow from it) and the female (circle with cross underneath it) in a Keynote presentation, but cannot find it in special characters. Help !!!!!!
This is trivial in (the hated) Powerpoint......

MacBook, Mac OS X (10.5.8), Keynote 09 5.0.3

Is this any use to you?

Edit: Also, I just looked, out of curiosity, in Character Viewer. If you select from the 'View' drop down menu at the top left, 'All Characters'. and then in the Symbols group choose Miscellaneous, you'll find those two symbols also - 4th row down.
