how to turn off the ipod

hey,
i want to know how to turn off completely the ipod.
i mean not turn of to sleep mode, i want to turn off as in when i turn it on again it's like i reset the ipod.

i get it but is there any way to shout down the ipod?
as in not sleep mode...

No, the only way the iPod shuts down is if you let the battery die or reset it. Otherwise, the only thing you can do is put the iPod into Sleep Mode.
