Itunes Tag Help

Okay, so we all have the dreaded 'uncleaned' music library. ( EX. Music files not having album artwork, correct song names, artist names and ect )

Now I go through my itunes library and fill in missing Album Names, fix band names and song names. Is there anyway to make itunes when I change song tags in my library to make changes to the actual file on my computer?

If you change tag information in iTunes, when you click OK the info writes to the tags of the song file. You can verify this by playing the file in another player.

There are just a few exceptions you need to know about:

1. If you don't have write permission on the file, the info will not be stored.

2. WAV files do not have tags, so iTunes stores the info separately.

3. If you use the the "Get Album Artwork" feature of iTunes, it stores the artwork separately, so the files will not have artwork when you use them in another player. This can be avoided by pasting artwork directly into the Artwork tab of Get Info.
