Epson drivers : how to revert back ?

Prior updating to Apple Epson drivers through Software Update, I used the proprietary Epson for a PX800, which gave me the option to *print draft*, with a cursor regulating the print, using less ink.
Not so with Apple Drivers : this option has disappeared.
I tried to revert to Epson driver : apparently impossible.
How do you do this ?

iMac 3,06 Ghz-4Gb, Mac OS X (10.6.1), Epson PX800FW

It would appear that have installed the Gutenprint drivers when you did the Epson Driver update replacing the Epson drivers..

If you have or can find the Epson drivers for Leopard, then you can remove the PX800 (Possibly having to reset the printing system), and then reinstall the Epson drivers.
You probably will need Rosetta installed for the install.

That I know : problem is the driver displayed has the PX800 FW Epson icon which is exactly unchanged from the original non-Apple. Instead, when I choose it in Gutenprint, it's the a generic icon.
So my problem is these precious options have apparently been suppressed from the Epson driver itself. I have last version available.

Besides, I've reset the Printing system and re-added all three printers.
It's again loading the drivers from the Apple update, not the original ones.
I'd like to ditch this bundle of Apple drivers. Can I do it without reverting to previous state of my system through Time Machine ? I hope, because I don't have time for that.

As an aside, original drivers have each its icon, making it much more intuitive to identify each machine.
Now the Z3100 is the only one to retain its icon, the Samsung and the Epson have the same generic icon. This is a detail, but still annoying when working fast.

I think that after you reset printing system, you have to actually install (run the installer) for the Epson drivers. Then when you add printer the Epson driver should be the choice selected.

I don;t have a PX800, I have a P2200.
It is technically only supported in 10.6 via Gutenprint, but the Epson leopard drivers work. But I think the trick is to actually install the Epson drivers after re-setting the printing system.
That's what worked for me.

Steve,
Finally worked, but one has to be very careful at stage 4, because Bonjour driver tries to over come the original one + the original one is listed as TCP/IP even when you're configuring it in Wifi. Funny Apple…

1 - Reinitialize Printers
2 - Re-install all original drivers from HPEPSONSAMSunGLEXMARKandso-on
3 - Reco, figure printer by clicking "+" in the System Preferences > Printers and Fax.
4 - Be VERY careful to choose your printer in the menu, as it will appear under its Apple driver name and its Epson name, which are almost identical. For mine, Epson name ended with TCP/IP (even though I was configuring in Wifi).
5 - Click and it's done. I have again the draft options and so on.
