Iomega REV 35 Firewire Driver

This is a shot in the dark and I know it. I have a number of video files backed up on REV 35 disks. When I plugged the drive in to the Snow Leopard machine it mounted the disk as an optical drive but all copying from it failed. I installed the Iomega 10.5.X driver and was able to mount one disk properly. Every time I try to insert a new disk I get a kernel panic.

Tried the Iomega site and after much poking found a statement saying "not supported yet" which is better than "never going to be supported". No options or information on dates.

Curious if anyone has found a workaround or if any Apple folks reading this could prod Iomega.

Thanks,

Ross

Yes it worked under 10.5 I did try contacting Iomega but they make it exceedingly difficult, basically pay for service once warranty is up. One of the many reasons I will never use their products again if at all avoidable.

Reverting at this point is a non-starter. I hoped that Apple might bring some pressure on them but that's wishful thinking. I'd try it on Windows just to get the files off but the disks are formatted for Mac and their devices aren't supported on Windows 7 anyways.
