HP Photosmart C5180 fails with strange error message
When I try to print (it does not matter from which application) with my HP Photosmart C5180, I'm always getting the following strange error message:
+pstopdffilter/pstocupsraster failed with err number -31000+
*My Configuration:*
* Black MacBook4,1 - Snow Leopard 10.6.1
* connected to a 500GB TimeCapsule via WLAN
* HP Photosmart C5180 connected to the TimeCapsule via Ethernet
The error first came up to me this morning, I don't think that I did any updates or reconfigured anything belonging the printing system.
After google'ing around for about 1h I had not found anyone with the same problem.
To fix this issue I already tried the following:
* Restart the printer
* Restart my computer
* Remove the printer in the System Preferences and add it again
* Reset the printer subsystem
* Update the HP Printer driver
In the console I found one entry of the PrinterProxy process saying 'cupsfilter returned status 256...' but beside this I could not see any unusual.
Did anybody already see an error like this? I'm really helpless with this right now, so please post anything that could help me!
