Apple USB keyboard - keys randomly repeating

I have been using a USB keyboard for 18 months with no issues. Recently, keys have been 'sticking' randmomly. I will be typing along and it will suddenyl appear like this:

The quick brown foxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx jumped over the lazy dog.

It's NOT the same key. It appears randomly, even the spacebar or backspace key will do this.

It's only appeared in the last few days.

I see others have complained about this but haven't seen a solution posted. It doesn't strike me as a hardware issue since it seems to appear random (both the key itself and when it occurs).

Any advice?

I'm in Hong Kong and returning the keyboard isn't much of an option as CS here isn't nearly as good as in the USA.
