Wont Charge on speaker/docking station.

I recently purchased the new 5th Generation iPod Nano.
I am very impressed with it and its updated features of video and bigger screen as well.

I have one, not so amazingly bad, but important issue.
I have 2 iPod speaker/docking stations that i used with my old iPod Classic (160GB). With either speaker/docking station it would play music through the speakers and charge the iPod as well. Perfect.
I expected the exact same from the new nano i bought. Nope, it doesnt charge on either speaker/docking station.
When i connect it to either of them a message comes up on the nano screen saying "Charging is not supported with this accessory"

Is this because Apple decided to modify something on the new Nano so the customer will have to buy a new speaker/docking station for there iPod Nano?
Do i just have a faulty iPod Nano?
If what i first believe is true i will be highly ****** off with Apple. Its not like the speaker/docking stations i have are old. One of them is just over a year old. As i said, they worked perfectly with my 160GB iPod classic.

Has anyone else come across that problem?

Cormac

Apple isn't here, this is a user-to-use forum.

The answer is already in this thread if you read it. You can either buy the adapter from Scosche (click on the link I posted earlier in this thread) or you can contact Bose and for a fee they will update your Sounddock (I suspect they actually send you a refurbished model to replace the one you have).

These are your only options.
